Simple enough.

Only 3 hours effort was put into this and it really showed. Animation was simple or just non-existent at some points. It's not that hard to put some animation into a blob, but you seemed to miss that all together. Character lining seemed far too thick, it just made the animation distracting when mixed in with the backgrounds.

Still, somewhat funny, and I'm sure that's all you were going for. Good work.

Odd.

A decent silent short. Great work on condensing the story to a quick, 30 second tale. You kept it to the bare minimums of what needed to be told as far as story progression and it stopped the animation becoming boring.

The animation was alright. A little bit off, but then again you chose some interesting and difficult angles to animate, so good work on that half. Some of the character outlines seemed a bit thick and harsh in comparison to the backgrounds they were in, but that wasn't a huge problem.

All in all it was fun to watch, a short bite of entertainment that wasn't over the top. Good job.

WalkingShrub responds:

Thanks for the great review! I'm glad you're the first person to call it silent, as most people I know just call it "without dialogue."

Oh, how silly.

Just seems you base all your humor off shouting loudly and over the top facial expressions. BUT THAT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S SONIC AND THAT DOESN'T REALLY HAPPEN IN THE GAME LOL.

On another note, your frame by frame animation is fucking superb. Fluent, accurate and just makes the animation good to watch. While your sense of humor has dropped over the last few years, your ability to animate has significantly improved.

Keep it up, try find someone else to write your scripts for the time being.

Basic.

You gave the frame by frame animation a go, which was good. Only downside to that was it didn't feel like you gave it a whole lot of effort. The arm movements were choppy and basic, you didn't move the whole body of the character accordingly.

The punchline didn't feel like it was hyped up, though. I was too distracted by the god awful music and what felt like lazy animation.

Good attempt, though. Nothing amazing.

She can scream underwater...

I expected this to turn into sex upon reading the little script you had to base this animation off, but I really didn't expect it to turn out like that.

Breast expansion, shark sex and traumatised children sharks. It's pretty much all I need.

OH GOD SO RANDOM, SO FUNNY

Random by itself isn't funny. Random with absolutely no punch line is worse. I mean, if you're targeting this to the 14 year old Facebook market who constantly update their status' about 'cheese lords of doom' and shit like that, then well done.

The animation was simple, but good. Decent facial expression and great voices. A couple of the jokes were alright but it just felt too forced.

I love Taylor Swift

Can't really comment on the humor or storyline of this animation as there really is none.

The animation was basic, a lot of tweens and choppy movement between the arms show not a whole lot of effort was put into this, mind you it's only 10 seconds long. That being said though you did a decent job with lip synching, fluent and well timed.

Your characters looked decent, a simple enough design, so it didn't come on too strong. The outlining of the characters came on a bit thick though.

Not much I can say about this, guess it's just one of those animations you spend an hour or so mucking about with.

ToasterBrutals responds:

I actually am a huge a fan of Taylor myself. And I made this on a whim, I agree the idea itself doesn't use much effort and there wasn't much animation. But its a short so its supposed to be random and funny. Thanks for the feedback :)

Nice choice.

A good voice acting piece to animate. The only real problem is the lack of animation. While there was a smooth transition between the text on screen, the animation was all that. Just text, slowly passing in correlation with the voicing.

I mean, it was entertaining, funny and looked pretty... but felt effortless. I understand how difficult it would be to actually animate this with any real intensity, though.

So while the concept felt cheap, the idea was unique. I guess I'll give you that.

Oh, how silly!

It's funny because it's about Left 4 Dead but that doesn't really happen in the game because zombies try to kill him, that's funny.

There are a million animations like this, desperately playing on humor simply because you've used popular video game characters. The animation seemed cheap and effortless at times, too many tweens and repetitive movie clips. 1 point for your lovely drawing skills.

Seriously, nice drawings.

An interesting story

Not only was the animation hilarious, fluent and well thought out. But the story you've started to tell is actually interesting. It doesn't feel cheap or generic, or hidden by your humor.
