Could of been better

It may be because I've seen alot of skate movies on this site, but this wasnt up to par. The animation was blocky at times, the frame by frame was unrealistic and it was far to short to change my decision on what I had seen prior.

Im aware that this was your first animation, and yes this is much better than most peoples first's, but you could of put MORE effort into it, especially if your going to post it onto this site.

Unsurpasing Moral

This was brilliant. A unique refreshing implement of flash art and storytelling is so hard to come by, this is an example.

The art was great, the style was dark... creepy and exciting, mixed with the good soundtrack and decent voice acting, it made something rememberable.

Good job.

Decent

This animation was a half good, half not-so-good. The graphics were not that great, dont get that confused with the animation (I'll explain that in a second). The graphics, well they were just circles, the guns looked traced and there was no real enviorment. The animation on the other hand was nice, it was very fluent, very smooth and in conjuction with the violence it was good. Alot of nice pans and zooms to go with it too.

The only real problem with the animation was it was pratically all Motion Tweens, dont get me wrong, the way you showed them in this flash is as if you've mastered them. But really put some effort into some frame by frame and you could be getting a much higher score... it would make this flash look more clean and alot more exciting than a little circle going nuts.

The song was good, but im not really basing the score around what music you choose for a random killing. The style of the animation was nothing new, something just goes nuts and kills everything, meets a big bad guy... alot of mess... madness holds copyright on it pratically.

I liked the bloodsplatters, they were decent at times. But I think with your style of direction and effort in your animation that you could go for something more than just a circle making some kills for no reason. Think of a storyline, a good one and try to tell us something and excite us.

Best of luck.

Just a warning

If your going to make a serious animation. The graphics need to be brilliant. Comedies can top the weekly charts with visuals that are barely above par because they are incredibly funny.

But they wont be looking at comedy your turn round, only your storyline... and your animation. So you best have an amazing twist or amazing graphics locked up somewhere.

The idea, looks good. It looks decent, and if nursed well and thought out to its full potential then you could deliver something very nice. On the other hand, if not enough thought goes into it... it may just end out shit.

This preview was nice, it wasnt just a couple of seconds long and barely telling us about what the flash will be about. It was informative, and almost exciting. The only problem, if you havent heard already by EVERYONE, is the fact it has no sound.

Anyway, best of luck with the release of the real thing.

Nice Collab

This was interesting. A unique and stylish way to showcase a group of interesting art in a collaberation.

Good work everyone, great pictures!

I liked it

This was quite good. You really set out a setting for your animation. Really the whole thing is about nothing... about the unknown direction of a movie to the viewers, but still good.

Your characters, though not spectacularly drawn were good, I enjoyed watching them, it really set up the mode on how you focused them, their eyes, their stances and the general way they moved, which compensated for the small lack of art in them.

The animating was good too, it was generally smooth... enjoyable and you paid attention to the only real parts that counted, and in a comedy thats very important, you did well in the direction of this movie.

But another thing I think you pulled off with flare was the sound, very fruity... though that would be intentional. The whole soundtrack you had going was a pleasent backdrop for the humor you had in place. Even though there were no voices used in it (though it helped having the text for a few jokes) the cartoon with text speeches was still quite good and didnt offput any of the humor which may of been missed by using tone of voice or soundscaping.

As mentioned, the cartoon was funny. You really pulled out irony and a complete sense of confusion and used it well, a hardcore death to everything character such as yourself being forced into a nice loveable git. Really a classic style of comedy used, the force of change to a unlikely situation of a character, and you used that humor refreshingly well... which is quite a good change to see on here.

Also mentioned above was the ending, it was quite well brought out. Using the whole cop-out "it was just a dream" or "it didnt really happen" kind of sketch is a simple way to tell when a person has run out of ideas for a way to finish their cartoon. Though the way you did it was still funny and it played along with the cartoon so it worked, very well.

From the start to the end this was a great flash, funny, lengthy and quite unique in comparison to other peoples work. When I see "I made this awhile ago and I wanted to share it with you guys" in the description im normally upset, its usually a bad reminder of what the flash artist use to be. But this isnt, this was enjoyable and topped all of my expectations.

Good job, and keep it up!

Wow! Where to start. I'll go by parargraph.

Response:

Lol, well, it had a direction originally, it just kinda got off track.

I take great pride in making sure my characters convey what they want or what they are feeling, I'm glad you noticed. :)

Smooth animation, never gotten that compliment before, if you think this one was smooth check out some of my newer stuff.

As I've stated before, I don't do voices, at least not for those charactrs, I do intend to do some cartoon with voices soon hopefully. Anyway, one of the things I updated from the original was the song, so I'm glad you liked the change.

Yay, I'm really glad you liked my sense of humor, most of the time my humor is for like 12-13 year olds, but you seemed to really enjoy this cartoon even though you are 16, glad to see my humor can branch out.

Lol, yeah, I couldn't think of an ending. Or I was too lazy, I can't remember now, lol.

Thx for that compliment, I know that putting older work on isn't always a good idea, but like I said in the author's comments, I think this is one of the funniest flash's I've made.

Thx a bunch for reviewing, it's really refreshing to see someone who takes extra care in conveying there opinions about a cartoon.

Sore Eyes o.O

This was alright, your visuals were nice, and the animation was quite well made... bar the shape tweens.

But after a while, the whole trance music video got my eyes bleeding. It was decent, but something I wont be watching again in fear of my health :)

Original, but could of been better

It was funny, ill hand you that. Though glitchy, the idea was quite original, but once again... the graphics were somewhat glitchy.

Anyway, decent for what you had.
